Why Choose Amy?
Trustworthy!
Amy always aims to be honest, respectful and direct but in a very approachable manner. What you see is what you get, there are no hidden sides. Unless there are extenuating circumstances beyond her control, Amy always honours her agreements - creating trust, loyalty and respect in relationships is KEY!
Great Communicator!
Amy believes that the most important ingredient to great communication is listening...and Amy is a very good listener! She goes by the saying "It’s all about YOU"! Her main approach to communicating is to remain open-minded, only then can you experience endless ideas to explore your creativity! Due to Amy’s enhanced listening skills, she is able to understand, adapt and articulate your needs and wants in your project. Amy has a genuinely kind, thoughtful and friendly way about her and always delivers her best!
Passionate!
Amy loves words! She reads one book a month if not more depending on her schedule.
She has been interpreting other people’s words (and of course her own), for over 30 years, and so understands what’s required in ‘creating a picture’ through words. Though admittedly this is not always a simple task, Amy is adaptable and easy going, so able to change direction when prompted. Amy has extensive experience and thrives in imagining what ‘could be’!
Determination!
Due to Amy’s passion for Imagery through words - words through music, words through speech, Amy’s work ethic is authentically genuine. Amy will always give 100% and go above and beyond to help you create whatever it is you wish to achieve.
Commitment!
Due to Amy’s colourful background and many many years in the music industry, she has a lot of knowledge and experience with overcoming challenges, so her ability to commit, for however short or long, is attacked with calmness, sustainability, perseverance and a determination that would rival any world class tennis number one! 😉
Special Skills!
There is one unique skill that sets Amy apart from the rest - the ability to listen to a phrase and then repeat it back within a fast time frame. Amy has always been able to sing songs after hearing then just a few times and then sing those songs in any key. That special skill also transfers to the spoken word. She can also listen to a way a voice is spoken and copy it, again, very quickly! So if a speedy turnaround is your main requirement, (as well as all the other reasons stated above), look no further. Amy is the voice for YOU! 😊

Amy’ s Story
Born in South Wales, UK, Amy, the youngest of three sisters, was submerged in music from an early age. She entered her first talent contest aged six, singing “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, terrifying moments as she could barely reach the microphone. However, this also marked the beginning of her love of music and performance. Inspired by such a musical upbringing, Amy studied classical piano and singing, but also developed an intimate love affair with Jazz in her teens. A difficult and mature genre that touched Amy very deeply. Possibly because the complexity of this style reflected the events that were occurring in her life during the initial stages of her newfound developing passion.
Amy experienced some rare medical conditions in her early years, being declared as being one out of only 5 children like her in the U.K at the time. She had developed cataracts in both her eyes leaving her almost blind, and then diagnosed with a rare nerve condition which meant she was unable to feel hot, cold or superficial pain. Due to this nerve condition, she also developed Osteoarthritis leaving her almost wheelchair bound and caused her growth to stop completely.
The ongoing traumas of her early childhood inevitably played a major role in suppressing Amy’s confidence throughout her life, especially being so short during an age when all a child wants to do is “fit in”, and certainly not stand out because they looked so different.
In what Amy describes as a ‘lightbulb’ moment surrounding her emotions, Amy attended Gorseinon College where she studied Music and Music Technology A-levels. Amy became coined with the description as “The Jazz Singer” and encouraged to pursue her love of Jazz more seriously, and where she also attended with fellow Classical singer, Katherine Jenkins. With the continuous support of her family and new found ‘tree’ friends (A story she will most happily explain whenever asked 😊), Amy went on to graduate from Leeds College of Music with a BA (Hons) Degree in music specialising in Jazz, an achievement that she never dreamed was possible.
Amy’s deep connection with the various different aspects of Jazz caught the attention of some of the best Jazz musicians currently working in the UK and saw her contacts book filling. A meteoric rise in status and sheer talent has led to Amy working with notable musicians. Amy’s desire to challenge herself, led her to also being a member of the BBC Chorus of Wales where she compared her first rehearsal to an episode of ‘Glee’...the aired version. 😊
As a means of releasing her inner demons, Amy released her debut album in 2012 called ‘A Sin With Love’, in which all the songs were self composed, and expressed strong reflections from the complexities of her inner thoughts heard in all of her songs. Since releasing her album. Amy's growing musical confidence and personality caught the attention of an American Musician, Ronald Lashley, and so she collaborated with an Independent Record Label based in New York & released 2 singles with them.
Working on accepting all her challenges, mainly in her own head, Amy moved away from the complexities of Jazz and released 3 pop/Country Singles ‘ written by Amy & produced by Kevin Jones, The first Single ‘In My Mind’, a simple yet effective song written while Amy was feeling in a low place mentally, reached Number 4 in the ‘World Music Stage’ - A Top 10 radio show countdown. All of Amy’s music is available to download and steam online. Amy has involved herself with many charities throughout the years, including “Action For Children’, a subject that remains very close to her heart.
In the latter part of 2019, Amy decided to explore something different, and embarked on a sidestep into voice overs. Since her decision, Amy has done voice over work for Radio, Corporate events, international voicemail, businesses, animation and most recently was cast as a newsreader for a short film during lockdown. Amy also has a YouTube channel where she has interviewed musicians, such as Ronnie Scott’s Saxophonist, Derek Nash, Rat Pack legend, Buddy Greco and Clint Eastwood’s son, Kyle Eastwood, (she has a humorous story about this encounter. 😀)
Amy’s continuous challenges in her daily life will always remain ‘real’, but with a ‘work in progress’ attitude, an ability to laugh at herself and to laugh in general, a continuous evolving perspective of her mind and a loving supportive personal environment, Amy always has a positive perspective on life and loves socialising with different, interesting people, never letting her limitations affect any of her engagements or working life! She is renowned for being professional, honest, friendly, upbeat, and having a fantastic sense of humour. Her key talents include, memorising words within a fast time frame, making people feel at ease very quickly, determination to achieve close to perfection ‘as she sees it’, patience in learning how things work and the ability to think ‘outside the box’.
Amy’s motto is "that the impossible is always possible. All it takes is a little imagination, belief in yourself, patience and determination. Also, never stop applauding yourself, because fairies really do exist"! 😉
